Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information ShutterShop collects through this website, how we use it, the services that help us run the site, and the choices you have.
The Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you fill in a form on this site we collect what you enter:
- Contact and consultation requests: your name, email address, phone number, address, the products you’re interested in, and any notes you add.
- Newsletter and New Subscriber Offer sign-ups: your name, email address, ZIP code, phone number (optional), the product you’re interested in, and your consent to receive our emails.
Information collected automatically
When you visit, our analytics and advertising tags (described below) collect information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site (for example from a search or an ad), the type of device and browser you use, your approximate location (based on your IP address), and whether you contacted us after clicking one of our ads. This information is collected using cookies and similar technologies.
How We Use Information
- To respond to your requests and schedule consultations, measurements and installations.
- To send the newsletter and offers you signed up for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To measure how well our advertising works and to show our ads to people who have visited our site.
- To protect our forms from spam and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information. We will not contact you about other matters unless you ask us to.
Services We Use
These companies process information on our behalf. Each one’s own privacy policy explains how it handles data.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC): measures visits and how the site is used. Google Privacy Policy; how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Google Ads, including DoubleClick conversion tracking (Google LLC): records when a visitor who clicked one of our ads contacts us, and lets us show our ads to people who have visited this site (remarketing). How Google uses cookies in advertising.
- Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.): stores newsletter subscribers and sends our emails, only if you sign up. Intuit Privacy Statement.
- Gravity Forms: the form software on this site. Form entries are stored in our website’s database so we can respond to you.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.): checks that forms are sent by a person rather than a spam robot. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Hosting and security (Kinsta Inc. and Cloudflare, Inc.): host and deliver this website and protect it from attacks, which involves processing technical information such as your IP address. Kinsta Privacy Policy.
- Google Maps (Google LLC): some pages show a map. It loads only if you click “Show on the map”, and Google then receives your visit as it would on its own site.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies in your browser (for example _ga, _ga_* and _gcl_au) to recognize repeat visits and measure ad results. Our own site also stores two small preferences in your browser — whether you closed the announcement bar and the New Subscriber Offer popup — which never leave your device. You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings at any time; the site still works without them.
Your Choices
- Analytics: stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
- Advertising: turn off personalized ads in Google’s ad settings.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, this site treats it as a request to opt out: Google’s advertising storage and ad personalization are turned off for your visit.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us.
- More detail is on our Opt-out Preferences page.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to opt out of the use of your information for targeted advertising (sometimes called “sale” or “sharing”). We do not sell personal information for money. To make a request, call us at 941-745-5950 or use our contact form. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (for example videos or maps). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you had visited the other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with that content.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Legal Requests
It is possible, though unlikely, that we might be required to disclose personal information in response to legal process or when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, for example in response to a court order, subpoena, or a law enforcement agency’s request.
Our Commitment to Security
We use security measures to prevent unauthorized access to the information we collect online, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and spam protection on our forms. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this policy when we change how we collect or use information, and change the “Last updated” date above.
